Contains brook and brown trout, and is self-sustaining. The lake is at 3,722 feet and lies about a mile south of the Canadian border within the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. From Highway 542 East, drive five miles up Forest Road 3065 to the trailhead.
The hike is reported as four miles; yet it seems like more since you climb from 3680 feet at the trailhead to 5400 feet to the summit of Gold Pass Run. Then its downhill to the lake at 3722 feet for the next half. The first half of this second leg requires dropping approximately 1000 feet in less than a mile to Coyote Flat. Mike MacGregor
