Bass Lake in Skamania County fishing question
Drove by Bass Lake today, just north of Bonneville, in Skamania County. There is public parking with a hiking trail and a Army Corp of Engineer info booth on the lake, with fishing marked as allowed. However, I have never seen any posts here or elsewhere about this lake. Has anyone fished it that wo...

Re: WDFW Q & A Thread - Questions for Stacie Kelsey, WDFW
Stacie, I have a question regarding a creek in your neck of the woods, Salmon Creek in Vancouver, Washington. Are there any current special regulations on this creek that haven't been released yet? I want to make sure before fishing it this summer. Also, Stacie, could you shed some light on the stat...

Winter Stream Cutthroat
I know a nearby stream with a healthy cutthroat population. I would like to target them over Christmas when I have some free time to fish. However, is catching stream cutthroat when the water is high and muddy really feasible? I've caught them during the summer, with clear water and plenty of slow p...

RE:Carp fishing in the us?
This has been a very informative thread, despite the immaturity displayed by some (one) member. As usual, the topic of carp or "roughfish" seem to raise the blood pressure of the less well-rounded anglers (as seen in a previous thread on the matter) Haters aside, back to the subject. I've had the mo...

RE:Fishing in South Korea
Hey, if South Korea actually has a healthy largemouth bass population. There's an excellent blog called Landing Lunkers, here is the link: http://www.landinglunkers.com/ It's a pretty sweat blog, updated by several guys who fish for bass and bluegill in South Korea quite often. Good luck out there, ...

Racfish, try a hair rig with your dough balls. Carp are not easy to catch, they are quite an elusive target, and locating them is half the fun. The guys at CAG helped me learn alot about carp angling, Euro rigs, bite alarms and other tricks. The only reason I have a two-rod stamp is for carp and bas...

^ That is nuts. Hope your friend can win if he contests it.
The price for the two pole endorsement is a little overboard, IMHO. It's $12 in California, and about $25 in Washington.

So, what does this mean for B.A.S.S.? Good or bad things? I read the magazines religiously in junior high, used to be really good stuff.

Yeah, the Regs pamphlet is pretty insane.racfish wrote:What the state should offer is a free Attorney service to help explain all the double talk in the rules and regs. Hehehe

RE:Carp or Northern Pike Minnow disposal - What is actually the best way to do it?
AA (and anyone else interested), I did run into an article discussing the amount of smolts eaten by walleye and smallies as compared to northern pikeminnow: "“About 70 percent of the pikeminnow diet is salmonids,” he said. “With smallmouth bass and walleyes, only about 20 percent of their diet is fi...

I wasn't aware of the issue with Spraque, haven't (unfortunately) fished Eastern Washington lakes (yet). "...leaving fish remains in shallow water after removing the normally eatable portions, or leaving any whole or portion of non-game or invasive species in such a manner which would permit floatin...
