Re: Lake Wiser and Floattubing
Kaposwin is a creepy lake no matter what you're floating in haha I was in Kaposwin one morning just as the sun was coming up and right in front of me there was this sudden mass of bubbles breaking the surface, like you'd see in a cheap horror movie, and then this massive log just popped out of the w...

Lake Wiser and Floattubing
Thinking about heading up to Wiser this weekend but I'm a tuber. Is the lake so overgrown already that it would be impossible to navigate in a tube with fins? From the photos I've seen it looks pretty choked out with weeds.

Maybe because of all the things you named, we're the predator and they're the prey in that scenario.Dustin07 wrote:why would bass be attracted to the smell of crawfish, trout, sunfish, poo, ducklings, snakes, frogs, bugs, minnows, etc, but 'know' that the human smell is not only not edible, but dangerous?

You may not possess another person's game fish without all that legal red tape, but as soon as you GAVE the fish to them and they ACCEPTED it, it's no longer your fish -
it's their fish.

it's their fish.

I hit Chambers last Sunday and caught 2 - the first on a 7.5" black and blue Roboworm Texas-rigged in about 18" of water, the second on a black and blue creature bait weightless and a fast retrieve on top, in about 2' of water. 4 hours between the 2 fish, so it's slow. Chambers warms up quickly but ...

Dang it, why couldn't you have moved to AZ 4 years ago before I bought my house LOL
I doubt you'll have any trouble selling a nice spread like that. Wish I was the one buying it.

RE:Lowrance X96 Sonar Unit/Fish Finder
Honestly, I would look at the Eagle 350C - it's color, has the wide-angle transducer, and usually lists for $199. I have one, have it on my float tube, and the color screen is MUCH easier to read if you've never had a fish finder before. Read the reviews on that model - I guarantee you'll want one :)

You guys in the Sound area seem to have faster speed. Are you running a cable directly through Microsoft or something????[glare] Just for grins I ran this on my Microsoft workstation: Speeds were 64.2 down and 5.5 up. My computer at home, with 3 others connected and a teenager playing WOW- 22.85 do...

I caught a nice baitcaster and rod out there last summer, had only been in the water for a day or two. Hooked it in about 20 feet of water tossing jigs for bass.

RE:in a slump.
If you're in a slump, try something different. When I get into a slump it's usually because I'm fishing too slow. Try burning a crankbait or spinnerbait to get a reaction bite and see if that breaks the bad luck. If not, slow it down a little, then a little more. Usually, if you're not catching fish...

RE:Bass Recipes?
In all seriousness (betcha never thought you'd hear me say that), the best way I've found to prepare freshwater bass is quite simple. I don't even bother with the filet knife. Take 2 bass (10-12" is perfect), clean as you normally would but don't filet. Line an aluminum or glass casserole dish with ...

RE:State Won't Pursue Boat Launch at Lake Tahuyeh
There are no private lakes in Washington. The state ownes every one of them. The rub is access to them. There are a number of lakes that have all the property owned around them making it difficult to access them. The people that live around them would have you believe they're private, they're not. ...
