I've seen people do terrible things with their fish. In fact, this year I saw a guy catch a nice 8lb coho buck then toss it up on the bank where it sat in the sun for at least two hours. (I left first.)
Bet that one tasted a bit odd...

I think it's important to bonk and bleed fish immediately to keep them from tasting fishy. There can be circumstances that make it impractical, but that's the goal.

To each his own. When I'm fishing for meat, it's usually slab perch.

This is sad. Society is going downhill for sure. When I used to hunt big game, someone would always stay in camp to keep an eye on our vehicles and gear. Do we need a designated watch dog for fishing too???
