Cowlits smelt
Never done this fishery before and picked up a smelt net to go Saturday. Looking over Google earth trying to figure out where I should go for the opener. Seems like a lot of fun and being over a two hour drive I want to make this trip worth while. Any suggestions on where to go. Should I stay lower ...

Boat motor issue
Thinking about buying a motor but it has an issue I'm unaware of the solution. The problem is told to me that it runs fine but the oil light goes off after a minute of running indicating low pressure when it should be fine. What could the problem be. Thanks for any info

Re: Clam storing issue question
I have aerator and really like that idea and will use it it the future. As far as cleaning them goes don't you cook the butter clams in shell and just pull meat out and dip in butter. Or do you have to actually clean them like when your razor clamming.
Thanks for the help

Clam storing issue question
Went clam digging yesterday. Got limits of mostly butter clams and put them on ice for the remainder of the day while fishing. As they were on ice it caused them to open up a bit. Is this normal. I thought they stayed closed until cooking.. Meat is firm inside with no odor. Do you think this is ok. ...

Re: 2014 Lake Tapps / Spanaway Lake Boat Launch Pass
Sounds good thanks for the help. I always love tapps lake and was gonna buy a season pass for there this year anyways so that will make it better for spanaway so I don't have to pay the launch fee there. I've never really fished spanaway much except for trout from shore. So hoping to get the boat ou...

Re: 2014 Lake Tapps / Spanaway Lake Boat Launch Pass
Does that pass cover both lakes or are they separate. Also is it a sticker you have to put on the window or a pass you hang in the mirror making it to where I can use different vehicles when I go. Thanks is for the help

So the store bought shrimp that are precook in a bag at Walmart that I bought probably would be no good to use for bait.

Re: Bright and tight egg cure
They are like the texture you would find in Jared single eggs. Firm on every single egg but still in clusters. Plump. And good color and juice in the eggs but not runny like gooey borax stuff that I used. I like the texture. They are not leaking out all the juice like the others I've done leaving cl...

Bright and tight egg cure
I got the bright and tight egg cure and put it in a jar with my egg clusters. Each individual egg in the cluster is nice and even texture and the color of the eggs are great. I will leave them in the fridge until time to use on steelhead or possibly late chums. Any body have any luck with this egg c...

Re: Sickening salmon snagging video
Pretty sure that is a little native boy. Parents encourage them to do it. They go to every deep hole I fish and clean river leaving nothing for the rest. Then everyone leaves like they want. They are getting there way and no one will stop them. Very ceremonial if you ask me.

Saw this on YouTube.
Chum Snag Fest October 2013.
Look this up and if you can post the link for others to see. We need to put an end to this. I fish correctly and fair hook my fish while I watch people like this every time I go.![Cursing [cursing]](./images/smilies/msp_cursing.gif)

Re: surf perch.
Is ocean shores pretty good for surf perch? There is a chance I might be heading there next week and will have a little time to try for my first perch. A have the basic idea of using a dropshot setup with two hooks up the main line but how big of hook for these fish would you want. I have razor clam...

Re: Getting excited for the ling opener
Can't wait to head back out to Westport. I've taken two trips out with playboy 2 boat one each of the last two years. Both trips we limited on lings and sea bass. My biggest was 19 1/2 pounds and my uncle caught a couple of 20 pounders. They have been good to us so planning another trip with them in...
