Re: Bass Fishing Lake Washington
As far as lures, I stick to either a dropshot with a 3-4 inch bait or a grub/sculpin/crawdad on a football type jighead about 1/4 - 1/2 oz. A small chunk of crawler always helps too.

Re: Bass Fishing Lake Washington
This is basically my home lake although panfish are usually my preferred species. There are plenty of lunker smallies in there that can be had this time of year. Some other foods to consider are sculpin and crawdads and those are stickleback minnows fyi. I would focus on the ends of main lake points...

Re: Crappie Fishing - Snohomish Co.
I used to fish that lake quite a bit and have had some truly epic days fishing this time of year. Back when there was a little resort with dock I would fish from the dock using micro jigs 1/80 oz. in standard red/white, yellow white etc. and a fixed bobber set pretty deep 6-8 ft or near bottom. Re: Crappie = mush??? Why do people like them so much??
Another possible reason to the mushy effect is how they are cooked. Seems simple enough but if your frying whole rather than fillets you must cook the crappie a bit longer. I prefer mine filleted but also enjoy crunching some fins too. Fried right a headed and gutted crappie can be quite firm.

Re: Panfish on the Westside ???
dont overlook lake washington. Gene coulon park on south end has massive dock. Also five mile lake in fed way used to have a dock (not sure now), Cassidy lake snohomish county has small dock on east side. There are times you can do well at sammamish right off boatlaunch docks.

Ive seen reports of the panfishing being almost non existent. What happened? This used to be my favorite mixed bag...
