Re: Sea Bass?
Yeah, one thing I learned last season, if you've worked the water column and aren't getting bit....move. Those bass are so aggressive that they will gulp your offering if they are there. When you find a school on the charter boats, it's like the magician said, you can't even hardly drop your gear do...

Re: pile worms?
When I last fished on the Slammer, Rhett let me use my own lures for bass...I used the 6 inch Gulp curly tail grubs that you would normally use for Ling Cod...couldn't keep the bass off of it. Pink Shine and New Penny were knocking them dead.

Re: pile worms?
Res, you can rig up carolina style and cast and slow retrieve at various depths. Or pop and twitch them at various depths, or you could do a dropper rig and let them flutter in the current a couple feet off the bottom, but in my experience, the sea bass tend to hold in the middle of the water column.

Re: Sea Bass?
Yeah, pop it up and let it flutter down, rinse and repeat as you retrieve it back to you. Mimics an injured bait fish as it's fluttering down.

Re: Squidin' 2014
Hit Redondo on Saturday morning for high tide at 4:30am. Squid were HUGE! Caught my biggest one to date (on left in the pic of them on my arm). Sunday was not so good. Started at Redondo on Sunday, and then went to Dash Point. The wind and choppy waves killed the action on Sunday. But Saturday morni...

Re: tokul creek
Bobberdownchromer...go out and try it for yourself and see if it's your thing or not. Don't depend on what others think about it. You can just walk the creek and anywhere you can access the water, you can drop a line. Tiny chunk of pencil lead and 12" leader...you get a few seconds of drift each cas...

Re: pile worms?
Gulp makes soft plastic pile worms and those fish out there love them. Get the bigger ones...I think 3 inch. And I had the best luck on natural color. Had to get them on Amazon though. Haven't found them locally in that size and color.

Re: Squidin' 2014
I have a marine battery (in a minn kota battery box that has DC power ports) and 175Wpower inverter. The nice thing about the 50W LED is that you get the same amount of lumens as a 500W halogen, at 1/10th of the power draw. I could be out there all night and not worry about my battery running out of...

Re: Squidin' 2014
This is the flood light I have. 50W LED and it has a remote to change the colors. Blue and green definitely perform the best. Also draws in bait fish if you're ever looking to jig for herring. My favorite is incoming through high slack tide. I also tend to find the squid right near the bottom, espec...

Hey Toby, If I could offer some advice...send those details via private message. In the off chance it's not your vest he found, and then someone else posts about a found vest, and it is yours...now everyone viewing this site has the details and could pose as you to get your vest and everything in it...

Re: Cowlitz river
Just go out there and fish bro. Don't rely on reports. Internet reports can't be trusted, and even if someone does give an honest report, no two days are the same. Might be on fire one day, and a ghost town the next. You just gotta hit the water and see what happens.

They are fine...that's "tapioca disease". Won't be an issue. Cure em up and fish them as normal.

Like others have said, check for the particular river as to when the anti snagging rule ends, and then I believe you can have up to 3 hooks per line...It may be 2, not looking at the regs at this moment.
