Bowfishing
Not sure if this is the right part of the forum to post this but I am interested in getting into bowfishing. I have the whole bow thing figured out and am proficient at shooting so I don't need any help with that. I''m taking a trip to banks lake this summer and I have heard that you can bowfish the...

Re: Meridian Weeds/Algae Problem
Its cleared up by now, it just must be a seasonal thing. I usually dont get out that early in the year but we've had exeptional weather. I highly doubt they would kill of Meridian

Re: That's gonna leave a mark!.... WDFW announces Lake clos
Hey, as long as the WDFW is fighting for our rights as fishermen I'm all for it. I just hope their decision benefits fishermen, and not the politics of the matter. I have a little bit biased view on the WDFW from hunting, but I support their efforts to help us fishermen

Re: That's gonna leave a mark!.... WDFW announces Lake clos
I guess my problem is they are wasting money on solutions that dont work. For example, some lakes near Okanogan and Grant counties are killed off to put trout in. These are sustainable warmwater fisheries, but the WDFW clears them out to put in trout, but by the next year, these warmwater fish are b...

Re: That's gonna leave a mark!.... WDFW announces Lake clos
And you wonder why no one likes the WDFW. At this point I think they just flip a coin to figure out what to do about a problem. Its stupid stuff like this that I don't understand. Stuff like closing lakes for no reason or killing off entire, sustainable fisheries to put in trout that die off within ...

Re: Meridian Weeds/Algae Problem
I live on Meridian, and this is something I've never encountered at this level before. In summer the weeds do get worse, but I don't usually see this kind in that time

Meridian Weeds/Algae Problem
So I was out bass fishing on Lake Meridian a couple days ago, just to find that half of the docks and a lot of cover is engulfed by these large, cloudlike tufts of green seaweed/algae. It seems to attach to about anything that it can, docks, lilypad stalks, etc, It grows from off of the bottom going...

Re: Newbie
All you really need for Meridian off of the dock is some egg sinkers, powereggs, size 12-10 hooks and some leader. My usual set-up for fishing from the dock is a 3/4 or 1 oz egg sinker, and a swivel, then off of the swivel I put a 2-10 ft leader and a hook with a couple power eggs. Just cast off of ...

Re: Bird ID?
Hmm... must be lost. I know the homeowners and they don't have a bird. I'm thinking it must be a hybrid, or a runaway bird.

I'd put money on that would catch a fish. I'm surprised no one has thought of that.

I dont plan on ever selling this boat so I'm not worried about keeping value in it. Now that I've got a mount, I'm just going to use the clamp and not saw the boat. Thank you all for the advice

It seems to be pretty sturdy. Does it matter what side of the downrigger I put my rodholder?

While I was thinking about the clamps I got an idea. This could have been one of BentRods suggestions and I just didn't understand. Anyways do you think this will work?
