Recent Closures? WDFW Hatchery Closures
Any comments on westside areas being closed? Good, bad or indifferent? Also, with the recent WDFW upcoming hatchery closures any options out there for blocking that action in Olympia?:rambo:

RE:Sammamish River (Slough)
Saw a few bass in there one day while riding down from Redmond to where it dumps into Lake Washington. At one time it might have been full of trout and dollies. Maybe after the big dredging that was destroyed. At that time it was a free flowing stream, they needed to dredge it to move lumber and con...

RE:Portion of North Fork Stillaguamish River will be closing to fishing
Just a DISASTER in our rivers and salt water these days. Maybe Catch and Release for 5 years. Natives can only harvest what they put into the water, gill netting BANNED. Japanese commercials cay pay us for what they take in open waters, since they only rape us of our fish in essence. WDFW needs to s...

RE:Snohomish river Chinook and Coho fishing... How is it supposed to be?
Gotta say most of the fish that are supposed to be in the Snohomish system get nailed in the sound before they head upriver. Constantly checking the reports posted on how many boats were fishing out of Everett, Mukilteo and Camano / Whidbey areas lead me to that conclusion. Plus most of the guys tha...

RE:WDF&W to Eliminate Steelhead Fishing in Puget Sound Drainages?
License fees and anyting that is sportsmen related needs to be allocated directly to supporting fisheries. Gillnetting needs to be outlawed. Netting in any river needs to be outlawed. Native tribes need to allocate funds from thier businesses (gambling, tobacco, ect..) to support thier harvesting of...

RE:Who's Fished for Sturgeon?
When I went to school at WSU most people would fish for Sturgeon as close to Lower Granite Dam as possible. Below the Dam. Whole bait offerings like Natetreat said, even herring. The spider thread is sweet for wrapping the whole bait around the hook and lower portion of the dacron leader, with a sli...

RE:Snohomish River Bass.... yes Bass
Not sweet for our Salmonoids, however interesting.....A friend of mine informed me he had a couple of buddies fishing for pinks last year on the lower Snohomish and one guy on the boat was getting skunked. That is until he landed a smallmouth. They banned him from the boat.......:chef:
