Re: Clear nonmetal snap swivels
I knew the snap swivels were in the works but haven't used them yet. I use the other swivels for trolling and they work great. They are a flouro carbon material very tough. They have been around for sometime and are very popular on the east side of the mountain and have been gaining in popularity on...

Re: How our wives (or significant others) must feel sometime
When I am grouchy my better half either feeds me or sends me fishing. Guess that explains why I am grouchy all of the time. But in reality I'm just fat, dumb, and happy.

This type of stuff kind of defeats the idea to form a committee to promote and increase participation in fishing.

Re: Lake Whatcom + Lake Samish
yes there are some excellent Skagit County lakes close by. It is a shame that Whatcom County does not get it. That was my home stomping ground for 10 years and I love Samish for the cutts and Silver was a very relaxing and productive fishery. Miss the area and my friends but they have taken away any...

Re: Lake Whatcom + Lake Samish
I didn't see it posted but is there an estimate as to how much this program is going to cost the city/county? How about an estimate on lost revenue? Just curious.

Whatcom County politics has always amazed me. Wait until you have to go to Whatcom Lake before heading up to Silver lake.

After you have your first 50 fish day you will never use worms again. I troll at 1 to 1.5 mph using a lazy "S" pattern. Woolley Buggers have been my fly of cho...

Re: Trolling With Flies?
I wrote a book on it. I included my set-ups, trolling patterns, methods on breaking lakes down & more. Covered 38 different lakes from Whatcom County down to Clark County. I think you will find it very informative and help you get started in the right direction.

Don, those color combinations have worked for me on different lakes. Olive bugger and black blade, olive/black bugger with black blade, black bugger with purple blade, black bugger with black blade, brown bugger with bronze blade. I use a black bead not sure if that makes a difference. You can check...
