Depth finder (fish finder) alright, color vs grayscale
did a search on here to get some opinions, couldn't find any so I am asking.. Color vs Greyscale
RE:Depth finder (fish finder) alright, color vs grayscale
Not to make light of the question, but his one's a no-brainer. Given the same resolution, power and features color does make a difference and is worth the extra $$$. If you are looking at two different systems, I'd take the one with greater power and resolution. Look at them as night vision goggles. First you need to be able to see something before you can enhance it with something like color. Would you rather have a crisp grayscale picture that shows you a nice buck or a colorful blob that looks like it might have 4 legs?

Color- Shows the thermocline and you can identify bottom structure much better.
