jens wrote:I admit, I overreacted. It's an unwritten rule to be respectful to someones post not to call a spot/river out in a public forum. I live and die by that. You even see that not only with rivers, but it's like that with bass fisherman too. I am noticing, yes the net is a great tool for picking up info, but it has also made us super lazy. I put in my time. I've spent countless hours learning a river.
I share with guys on here all the time. But I have been burned so I am pretty selective who I share info with. Keep up the good work guys.
Hey slayeroffdahookfishtrapfishingbandit- you my friend have issues. When are you going to learn how to get fish to bite bro?? It's not hard. I'll outfish your method any day bud. Oops. Since you don't fish during the day... I win!! ha ha.

This thread is supposed to be for Steelhead Pictures - if you guys want to kick sand in each other's faces why don't you just go to your local playground and kick away instead of making the rest of us suffer through it

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Yep, I am a big fan of the new Maxi-jig with the unbendable 2x strong hooks. They've been working great in a variety of colors.

Sorry man, don't think they're ingnoring you.... well maybe they are
![Sad [sad]](./images/smilies/msp_sad.gif)
, you're on the west side of PS and a different set of rivers over there. A lot of the PS rivers are closed early this year, in just a few days. Are you in the Navy? My son is on the Louisiana, not really Bremerton but Bangor. Not really sure what's in store for the rest of the winter but you could head to the Cowlitz in the later part of Feb or right now and take your chances. Just google blue creek hatchery. Most folks are drifting eggs, shrimp or jigs. From the bank or boat.

Are you looking for river, lakes, or salt?

A couple of good options on the otherside. Of course there is the cowlitz, but there are some other places north of you that are killer. You can check out the strait rivers like the dungeness the hoko and some of the small little creeks that run into the strait. Also there is the satsop and wynoochee south of you. Hood canal streams are a ghost town for steelhead lately, so you're more than likely gonna have to cross the water to get somewhere until the salmon show up again.
