I'll be down in tacoma next week for a week or so, and i'll be fishing dash pt. most of the time. If you want to meet up with me down there i can give you some tips on how to put some hurt on the pink menace #-o, from what my buddies are telling me it's starting to get pretty good down there.
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga, except i still get to kill something.

You might want to check out the Skokomish river this Saturday. It will be chocked full of fish. You can fish corky and yarn or eggs.

Imgonna be out there in the morning for a couple hours. Will be on the shore in waders if you want some tips. I use 8 lb test and 3/8 oz jigs. Light line gets alot more bites than 20 pound test. Besides them seeing line it affects the jigs action. You want it to bounce around really fast. They will chase it down if you get smacked start jigging I have had em hit like 6 times before they get ahold of it. There actually really easy to catch keep your drag kinda light hooks pull out pretty easy. Smokers been running daily lol.

The skok will have fish. But is not a river for a beginner or someone looking to hook into there first salmon. Especially on opening day. Id go to the Puyallup, dash pt, etc where there should be tons of pinks by now.
