RE:Top 3 Western Washington Trout Lakes
Seeing as I've only fished a handful of lakes since I've been here my library is a bit limited. Hopefully I'll be able to update this list by the end of summer:
1. Fish Lake (king County)
2. Lake Walker
3. Lake Twelve

Something mining company, I think. Something being something that starts with an S, I'm not sure. I looked it up and there are varying descriptions on why it's named that. It's really neat, in a valley with cliffs on three sides. I posted a report of the trip, it's the one with the wicked steep climb to get up to it through Hancock land.

Okay, I have given this a lot of thought and it was quite hard to narrow it to three. Here is what I come up with.
Nahwatzel (Mason County)
numbers and size, open year round
Black (Thurston County}
numbers and size, open year round
Clear (Thurston County)
numbers and size, 5MPH speed limit, seasonal
I actually could name my top 20 on the western side quite easily. These are not in any particular order just lakes that have always treated me quite well.
Island (Mason)
Lost (Mason)
Pattison (Thurston)
Silver (Whatcom)
Coldwater (Cowlitz)
Wildcat (Kitsap)
Lacamas (Clark)
Campbell (Skagit)
Flowing (Snohomish)
Spencer (Mason)
Aberdeen (Grays Harbor)
McMurray (Skagit)
Samish (Whatcom)
Trails End (Mason)
Goodwin (Snohomish)
Panther (Kitsap)
Lawrence (Thurston)
Nahwatzel (Mason County)

RE:Top 3 Western Washington Trout Lakes
Ive fished silver quite a bit. not as good as it used to be. some good sized cutts in there, regular planter bows. I miss it when they used to plant loids. back to back years i caught 22 inch triploids on opening day, and the biggest fish ive seen caught there was about 26 inches. They aren't any triploids left from 2007 when they stopped stocking them. As for samish, ive never fished it, heard it has some big cutts and kokanee though.
RE:Top 3 Western Washington Trout Lakes
I was the President of the orginazation that got the trips put in their. I also raised 90% of the funds. Worked at Silver for 6 years until my position got cut. Silver was my home lake for 10 years, if you ever decide to chase the cutts at Samish let me know be glad to tell you what and where worked for me their.
