What's the difference? Humminbird

I can't seem to figure it out. The humminbird 858c DI and the 858c HD DI is pretty confusing. The HD DI is cheaper when looking on Humminbird's site but it seems that the HD down imaging has deeper range than the other DI model. I was looking at one in a store today and the DI model said HD in the specs but not on the finder like the HD DI model does. Anybody have a clue?

Don't what you were looking at but current pricing on Humminbird's website is $849.99 for the 858c HD and $949.99 for the 858c HD DI. The 858c images on Humminbird's website do not have "DI" or "Down Imaging" in any of the pictures, only the 858c HD DI does.

As you know, I ultimately went with the 858c HD DI. What I was questioning was if you search Humminbird's site for the 858c DI it lists it for $1200 as a legacy model. So I was just curious as to why an older model that was not HD is more expensive than the newer DI that is HD for $950?

Both current models are HD, but only one is DI. Was unaware you already purchased an 858c HD DI. Have no clue on the last question about the older model, but since you went with the current DI model, I guess it's kind of a moot point now.
