Political ads?

I dont know if you guys have any control over this or not, but I would like to see zero political ads - especially this year. I dont care who you support or like or what party you prefer. Things are just too crazy and divisive and hate filled this year.

I fish for fun and relaxation and come here to get away from that crap.

So my "vote" is for no political ads - if possible :)

In a perfect world maybe....

But I'll take the ads over any paid membership that would be needed to keep up the site without those ads.

Just sayin'

Why would they run any ads in WA anyway? Not like we're a swing state.

No offense to OP, but what heck are you guys going to vote for? I feel like you people are more my peers than any one else! And unless mike runs (JK mike), i dont know who to vote for???? Options suck!!!!

What do the current election have to do with the well fare of our fisheries? If anything?

The best politically related ad I've seen throughout this whole crazy campaign is the billboard that says, "Leaving the country after the election"? "I can sell your house for you". [laugh]

I still say Flutie.

He won the Heisman the year I was born.

He kicked the only successful drop kick extra point in an NFL game in the last 75 years, and even Bill Belichick smiled.

I'd love to hear a Trump or Hillary fan give me two better reasons to vote for their candidate than mine. [flapper]

Still waiting for real candidates to show up. This will be the first time in my life I refuse to cast my vote for president. [-(

Well, they are both bad options...but nowhere near as equally bad.

I myself prefer to make my own call instead of doing a no show and letting others decide my fate without my input.

I also consider it my civic duty despite the fact my one vote will have zero impact overall.

Just sayin....

There is no "civic duty" to cast a vote when it will have zero impact in the outcome.

End of my political commentary - back to fishing. [wink]

Oh phooo. No democracy can function if the people do not participate. Thats what happens when voters are suppressed. Its important to vote - especially this year. Besides, all you have to do is mail it in. Its not that hard :)

Hewes - you underscored the wrong portion of the sentence - it should have been under 'I also consider it MY civic duty' - NOT the rest of the sentence.

It was a statement about myself.

Complacency has no place in my world.

While my one vote won't likely count enough to sway the results one way or the other - it will be cast, and I will be satisfied I did my part.

One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors. Plato

And the inferiors are running rampant. [scared]
