Looking for an airless paint sprayer recommendation

Post by The Quadfather » Thu Mar 17, 2011 8:14 pm

Does anyone have experience with airless paint sprayers? I am thinking of purchasing one. The Fuji HVLP models have been recommended. They run $700-800.00
I was looking to spend about $300.00. An item like this though you can't cheap out on, or it may ruin your project.:-"

I've got a Graco Magnum DX that I got at the Home Depot a couple of years ago. It is a great sprayer and I think I paid about $350.00. I don't know if they are still making the DX still, but Graco makes a pretty good sprayer.

I'll be spraying my house this summer. Shoot the whole thing in about a half a day. Well worth the money.

I have the one Marc has. Been bullet proof and I've even loaned it out and it still works like new.

Stay away from the Wagners, I've burned a few of those up.

If you want it for more than one house painting spend the money for a good one and clean it and oil it religiously.

I will check that one out this weekend Bodo. It is for the home built boat project that has been in the forever stages of building. I see a need to apply some paint in near future.:) Some of the people I know who are building boats have some INCREDIBLE finishes via using sprayers.
