Read Mike's earlier report on catching crappie on dry flies, and decided to give it a shot on Saturday evening. Arrived about 7:30, and spent the first 1/2-hr working the lily pads with a bugger, but no-go on anything. As it started to get dark, I noticed all the surface activity about 50' offshore, and switched to a Adams Irresitabel Wulff. Had literally non-stop action until it got too dark to see my fly. These fish are all small (6-10") but a lot of fun on my 7' 4wt rod. For those of you not looking to fill up the freezer, but just get something to tug on your line, Cassidy is actually a very fun fishery. Maybe I'll see some of you out there one of these nice evenings.
