Ok, for all you guys interested in Battleground lately, you will love this. The reason I fished this lake today was due to a rumor about Klineline lake. It seems that the fish&Wildlife folks got tired of all the folks at Klineline illegally taking more than their share in fish, so from this reliable source, I learned that they only put half the fish originally planned to go in. The other half of the loads were placed in Battleground. So with that buzz in my ear, my five year old and I put our boat in battle ground today. Fish were every where, hopping and jumping all over the place. I couldn't believe the amount of steelhead in the lake also. They are huge and very shy, I seen a few caught, but I didn't get to see what they were using. My son trolled with a little minnow with a split shot for weight, I used a small orange wedding ring type spinner, tipped with a power bait worm and a split shot. We were hammered over and over again. We caught our limit easy, and everyone seemed to be having the same kind of luck. There are hardly any people there and lots of fish, get there if you are in the area and go have some fun before the news gets out. Good luck.
