Got out on the lake around 5am. Trolling a ford fender with a wedding ring spinner. Caught a few lilly pads on lilly pad lane. Fished for another 2 hours with a couple of trout. Was gonna head in when wham! I had a bite like a cannon goin off almost pulled me outta the boat. Then the line went slack; the fish was comin towards the boat. This is when my little 4 year old daughter started screaming daddy daddy the fish is coming for us. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Then all of a sudden the boat flips. So I start wrestling with the fish. I get a choke hold on the fish. My daughter says get em daddy! The fish is flapping like a seagull. So I get that 8" trout in the boat and my dream of the alligator gar vanishes. My daughter says are you ok daddy?
