we headed over to eastern wash for what bubba and i figured to be the last 'summer weekend' of fishing. thought we'de try fish lake as there seems to be some lunkers that come out of here. due to a wrong turn (first time at the lake), we didn't get in the water til about 0800. was surprised at the heavy fog in the am and the huge amount of algae in the water.we fished until about 1300 catching a bucket load of small guys under 12". we ended up keeping 2 fish that were about 16", but a pound apiece. even the little fish hit pretty hard and fought very well. plenty of action, just not alot of nice fish. it was recomended that we crimp our barbs so we could release the small ones easily without touching them. the owner of the cove told us that if you touch or handle the fish in any way, they will die upon being released. we respected this pratice and had a active if not a fruitful day of fishing.
