I started the day late at about 11:00a.m. began my way from the boat launch to the far right side of the lakeby the public fishing dock and park area I began to talk to a gentleman on the dock who told me in an almost arrogant way that all the bass were on the other side of the lake (which is true thats were I usualy catch the majority of my fish) I proceeded to thank the man and continue along the left side of the bank working more of the overhang and brush on the bank rather than my usual dock fishing I ended up catching my line in a branch I came right up to the bank to untangle my line and decided to fish from there for a min. throwing 4 to 5 foot cast under the overhang maybe twice before BAM!!!! she hit a 4 lb. 19.5 in. LMB I fought her for a good while having her pull out at times a good 10 feet of drag when I finally got her close to the boat and saw her come sideways along the boat and to see her size I almost went into shock, this was the best fishing experience Ive ever had and will have for some time I imagine,Ive been fishing long lake for about 2 months now pretty avidly and I have yet to have a dissapionting day.
