Went fishing today in the Yakima for any leftover rainbows. Well, the deal is, the river is very high, from all this record rainfall. My fly could barely cast in the wind,rain, and current. So I headed back to Seattle to visit my Girlfriend. I stopped on the way to exit 62, off I-90. Went to see if I could throw any caddis at the brook trout up there. There was actually a lot of snow, and to my suprise, the lake is frozen until the middle. I would say a good 13'' freeze. I'm going to come back in about a month to do some ice fishing, that auger is so heavy though. I did it in the past at some of the other lakes I fished before. But I think this lake has Kokanee, and Brooks, of course the stocker rainbows. Rapala jigs are the best baits to use, very vibrant colors work. Good luck fishing Lost Lake, I also heard people had a great summer catching the 14'' Bows. -Rainer
