Well this morning I had to venture out towards moses lake from Othello. Since I had to wait a few hours to meet my Hunting Buddies from Lynden. I had along my ultra light tackle and pole then ventured down to the corrals of a Feedlot situated off the Lind Coulee wasteway, upstream from potholes Reservoir about 10 miles Near warden. This holes been an old favorite since i was a kid. I used single egg hooks, a split shot about 18 inches above hook.And Balls of Fire red eggs (Green label) I drifted several holes, with less then excitable results. But finally i did manage to land a bright 16 inch Rainbow, which i released. After about 2 hours in 20 degree temps, and the fact ice was making my line freeze up since it was light weight. I Gave in to natures Harshness. But it was fun none the less. Because as the old saying goes, A bad day of fishing, always beats the best day at work . so thats it until next time folks.. stay warm. obey the rules! and practice catch and release.
