Beautiful late morning at Offut Lake Resort. Aaron (in photo) had all the scoop and was very generous in sharing information. He has been fishing regularly using chartreuse Powerbait and occasionally marshmallows about 3 feet off the bottom. Aaron states the fishing is slow then they hammer the lines for an hour or so several times a day. Lately, the major bite has been around noon time. He also advises to be aware of the resident otters. Becky in the resort office has everything there for the fishermen including kid's pole outfits and steel mesh catch bags to keep your fish fresh in the water and not in some wily otter's tummy. Great people and a great place to chill out for a day or two. Weather permitting we plan to rent a cabin for a couple of days in late March.
