We got to the lake at about 9am. There were few boats on the lake
We started to the weed bed and fished it with no luck. Not many chronimids hatching at the time. I noticed that there was still some algae on the water, Maybe for last year. The water was about 42 degrees and I didn't see very many fish rising. We decided to row over to the house, (I've had some luck there before).
We threw close to shore about 7' of water. My buddy caught 3 fish all about 11". I finally caught 1, the same. I was quite surprised of the size of the fish. We have caught big fish here before. We trolled back to the launch. I pick up one more again 10 to 11" rainbow. It seems that they just stocked it or something. By the time we got back, there was about 20 boats and tubes in the water. Nice day to fish. Partly cloudy, but no wind. I can't wait until it starts to warm up. I'll be back for the big one.(s)
