Got to fish Amber for the first time with our software engineer, Aaron, and also met at the launch a WL.com regular, Gary from Spokane. The weather was clear skies but breezy, making it seem colder than it was. We started fishing across from the launch, still fishing with chronimeds and blood worms. Gary hooked into one fish after about an hour, but other than that we had no luck. Aaron and I decided to drag some wooley buggers along shoreline so we switched into sinking lines and off we went. He had a natural looking olive-green pattern and I went with a more glittery, bright green pattern. Down wind we went, making a fair amount of fish, but no hits. Coming back into the wind was brutal - for me rowing, and for Aaron because of the cold, biting wind (was ready to strip clothes off from all the work!). Aaron did get one good bump but wasn't able to hook the fish. We got back to the launch at noon and had to leave to set up for the Big Horn Show. Special thanks to Gary for letting Aaron use a pull over hat, he would have froze without it.
