Well, this lake has some good memories for me, but that's about it. However, my best friend of 33 years really likes it, so off we went....

Don't get me wrong, this lake can produce a few respectable bass at the right times, but it is definitely not in my top ten as far as "early season" bassing goes.

We met at the lake at 7:00am, fished from the public launch area, around the Southern corner, down the West shoreline and around to the County Park.....not a nibble!! Even tried trolling for trout all the way back to the launch, and nothing again. I was using a black and blue jig with a plastic trailer, and my buddy was using a carolina-rigged 6" power worm most of the time.

This lake should be good to go around May, as for now, you would probably fair better sticking to trout, even though we did not see even one caught?? Oh well, a cold morning, but lots of reminiscing about past trips, and spent a morning with my pal.....worth getting up early for any day!

I don't know what the water temp was because my friend hasn't hooked up his fish finder yet?? Grrrr!:)
