I have to agree with josh that sprague is a GREAT fishery and has no business being killed off. Every spring there is tons of articles on this lake, about how great the fishing is. The lake just doesn't get any people fishing it. It has nothing to do with what kind of fish are in it. So they're going to spend tons of money on rehabbing the lake and guess what 5 years from now we are going to have the same problem. The lake just looks nasty, its in the middle of the desert, and the resorts and bank access are far from great, but to true die hard fishermen that DOES NOT matter. im from Seattle and i will take that trip every weekend to get in on some great fishing. There is everything in this lake huge trout, NICE crappie, some lunker walleye, also some real nice perch and bluegill, monster cats and not to mention the state record tench(what ever the heck that is). So like i said its not the type of fish in this lake, but more the location, and like josh said does this part of the state really need another trout fishery? So my suggestions to people reading this is protest this issue with me and josh or get down to sprague for some GREAT fishing before they kill the lake
