Fished the Hampton's April 4, 5, 6. Saw three fish taken, 2 on April 5 lower Hampton, one on the lake below lower Hampton and none on Upper Hampton. Worked with everything on Upper Hampton including using all patterns of a fly. Nothing for us from the bank and or a pontoon boats. Talked with 25 people at the lake and nothing. My son in another pontoon boat saw a lot of fish down deep on the fish finder near the rock faces in 15-20 feet of water, but they wouldn't take anything. It must need to warm up. On Saturday morning fished Lower Hampton for 3 hours and nothing. Counted 38 fisherman go up to Upper Hampton by 7:30am. Saw 15 return by 10am with nothing. We went to Burke Lake near Quincy and knocked them dead for catch and release, a lot of fun. My guess would be the winter was hard or the fish were not ready to take much yet. Last year was awesome with fly fishing in the first week of April. Got to spend one day at Lenore and it too was slow only saw 1 fish caught in 3 hours with 33 people fishing. It sure beat work any day.
