Fishing lately has been from fair to good. People fishing in boats are cosistantly hooking up using bait, but i prefer to troll the lake using lures. My personal favorite is a small hotshot or Flatfish trolled down deep and slow. For some reason, the fish have been inhaling these lures, so i increased the lure size and that did the trick. Hooked up with what was probably one of the last steelhead in the lake. The thing was white all over, and almost dead, but wanted to go out fighting. It hit on a black woolly bugger with a spinning silver prop on the front. The fish hit fairly light, but immediately took to the air in a great aerial display, and once again, I didn't have a net. I was able to tail it and haul it into the boat where I put it out of its misery. I put a big rock in the fishe's mouth and sunk it out in the middle of the lake where it would not smell to high heaven. Hope to see you all on the water very soon! Good Luck and Tight Lines!
