Set sail on the lake around 9am, with not the most ideal conditions, but had a good feeling about the lake, even with this being our first time on Silver. My dad and I took a left from the motel boat launch and were told about some islands. This lake is bass heaven. We started throwing chartreuse spinners with no luck. I switched to a black/chart. jig with a blue trailer and pulled in a healthy 2 1/2 lb. fish from under some thick vegetation. Shortly after my dad landed a nice 3 lb. bass after switching to a white and blue spinner with a twin tail grub as trailer. After those two fish I fell hard for this lake, it's like a candy shop out there. I ended up with one more solid fish caught on a olive green jig and blue trailer in shallow heavy cover. It was fun having confidence in a lake I hadn't fished.
