I took my friend Dan to whatcom for he has never fished there before I knew that they would be easy to catch for they are on there beds now, we did well even though we really got rained on, one thing to note here is that these fish here really get pounded on there beds these fish are in very bad shape here all fish except one had torn jaws or missing eyes and very dark some almost black and no fight left what so ever I was using only 4lb test and none except one none spawner pulled out any drag, they seemed a little smaller on average than normal all were between 2-3 lbs with the biggest one at 3.7lbs which was also the biggest we saw,( I guess that is about ave. but I normally at least see some much bigger ones if not catch something bigger) I did get my first large mouth from here also but only a small one but we saw one pushing 6 lbs It half heartedly took a look at my crawdad before swimming off. until next time, good luck.
