We went to Mineral this weekend and the fishing was great. The first day between the 2 of us we caught 18. Most were taken on a green wedding rings but we got a couple on green needle fish and rainbow colored flat fish. The second day the others came up and between the 6 of us we caught about 20 or so and that's when we caught our biggest one. I used a small string of pop gear and a weeding ring like set up (that is actually used for walleye) with a small hoochie and worm. The fish was 17" and 2.4 LB. Then we started having battery problems so we had to still fish. For the rest of the weekend we fished off the dock and did all right but not as good as in the boat. We found that 3 power eggs in yellow and orange worked the best for us but we were told that that yellow powerbait and a worm was the ticket. The two biggest that I heard of were a 5lb and a 7lb and last weekend there was a whole lot of 9lb caught. GREAT LAKE
