finally got out to fish, first time this year. went to pond #6 walk around pond saw lots of big bass, small panfish, not much happening so i started for the car when i came upon a guy and his little boy catching small crappie, rigged up one of my micro jigs i tied over the winter. caught over 30 crappie, most were 8" long but caught three monsters that went 13" and a nice lrgm that just hit the 17" mark. have not seen crappie this big except at mardon resort, great day of fishing, oh! even though there are trash cans in the parking area this pond. there was a lot of trash left around the pond. i had to scold a group of about 10 people with kids for throwing bags and pop cans in the water. about 5 cans, three chip bags, and a couple of plastic store bags. all floating in the water in front of them. garbage can was only 150ft away, funny how i had to talk to the kids because the grown-ups didn't seem to (understand) what i was saying, maybe they were just ignoring me? need to have lots of citations given out to curve this problem. or at least some good signs around to remind to pick up after themselves. <')///<
