Hit the lake at about 11. Within the first 5 casts I had the first 3 pounder (In the grass). I got the 4 pounder under a dock. The last 3 was also caught in the grass. I was using a green 5 inch senko with red flake. It is to bad because it was windy and cold. (Real fisherman don't mind that) The water temp was about 58 degrees Fahrenheit and it was shallow ish. My fish were caught in relatively deep water for the lake.(Considering the max depth of the lake is probably 20 feet during the rainy season.) So that tells me that they have not spawned yet and it is not suggested to keep any bass over 12 inches. I personally fish for the sport of it so all the fish that I catch are released and ready to spawn and be caught again. I would appreciate if you did the same. Happy fishing, and good luck.

Hey drunkfisherman, fyi, its not only a good idea to release any bass over twelve inches, but more importantly its the law. Washington state has a state wide slot limit, which basically states that you can keepup to 5 fish under 12 inches, but fish in the slot 12 to 17 inches are not to be harvested. 1 over 17 is allowed, but after talking with a guy that worked for the USGS that has been doing the studies around the state on mercury content, he suggest if you want one to eat, take the guys that haven't been around as long to consume as much of the heavy metals. Typically a bass over 20 inches is between 10 and 14 years old..... and living in the water they live in... I'll take a bite after you. Good luck.
