5/8/2007 4:08:00 PMHmmm......I don't find that language in the regs.....perhaps it is a gross violation afterall though. If one is to interpret that the line "Where use of bait is prohibited..." implies that where use of bait is not prohibited nullifies the catch and release rule below, then certainly you must be right. However, I should apologize for being as unclear as the regs. That was our two day total, so there you have a gross exaggeration, rather than a gross violation from a fibbing fisherman to a non mathematician.

In lakes, ponds, and reservoirs: No min. size. Daily limit 5. When ?shing with bait, all TROUT (except STEELHEAD) equal to or greater than the minimum size are counted as part of the daily limit whether kept or released.

I'd like to suggest that rather than subjecting your new users to dramatic brow beatings over inaccuracies in their reportings or mis-interpretations of the regulations, you might instead concentrate your efforts on adding credibility to your forum. So far, what I see is an incredible WalMart -NASCAR low brow, white trash element to the reporting and to other content on the site. Most of the "reports" seem like they are written by a West Virginian inbred mountain man! "Dude, I seen a big one....tight lines.....!!!" Good lord, can any poor SOB think of any other ending but "tight lines"?

5/9/2007 8:44:00 AMThe reality of being able to post comments on reports is that guys are going to point out when fishing regs are reported as being violated. I can only hope two things - that the person pointing it out will do so in a respectful and polite manner, and that the person that is being educated (which may someday prevent him/her from a big ticket by WDFW) will accept it graciously and move on. My biggest fear - both parties take the low road and causing hard feelings and us having to be comment police. Enough said.
