5/16/2007 2:02:00 AMI caught that Muskie and it was 48+ inches,but i am impressed that was a very close guess from just looking at a picture.I am not sure of the weight because my scale only went to 25lbs. and it bottomed that out in a hurry.Was caught on 12lb. mono with no leader.You could say I got pretty lucky in the fact that it got hooked just right for line to avoid teeth.

Congradulations, that's a NICE muskie! I am very happy to hear it was released as well, most people couldn't do it. But how we going to catch 50 inchers if the 48's don't swim free? You should post a thread about it on the muskie fishing forum on this site. There are people who don't believe you can catch muskie on light tackle, when done properly. That must have been a heck of a fight on light tackle. What were you tossing? Fishing for bass probably huh? Again, nice work and good fishing.
