We hit Mineral Lake around 8:30 am and trolled over to our favorite spot for some bait fishing. The fish were jumping all over the place and some came up and out of the water completely. There were about 20 other boats on the lake all spread out so plenty of room to fish or everyone. A few had rather full stringers by the time we arrived. Once in our spot we dropped anchor and did some bait fishing with fresh power eggs topped with our favorite flavor of Pro Cure bait oil. The fish absolutely loved it and we had consistent action most of the day and limited out with rainbows in the 10-13" range. Lots of fisherman were catching lots of trout during the day and many were using a bobber set up. Even the bank fisherman near the boat launch were catching trout and we counted 13 trout on one stringer as we headed out. The osprey and bald eagles were out in force and watching them dive into the water and grab a trout and then fly to the tree tops to devour the fish was quite a site. Tight lines.
