3 hours one bite, lots of activity on surface. Something strange though...I fished the whole lake perimeter and seen at least a dozen large dead rainbows about 1-2lbs each just off shore. And also seen a lot of fingerlings of about 6 inches or so acting distressed swimming in rapid circles just off shore, was able to catch with my bare hands!
Is there something eco-unfriendly going on around that lake???
and remember those of us getting skunked...means its just a little more time to help pick up other peoples garbage. Thanks.

Bradely Lake is currently Juvenile Fishing Only until June 4th. (Not to say you are not a Juvenile).

The injured and disoriented Trout you saw are due to a recent stocking by the Puyallup Hatchery, which is pretty common when stockings occur.

There are a lot of Trout in there right now, but they are a little spooked from what I here.

Good Luck, they got to come around some time.

Are you sure the rules have changed? I have checked the WDFW website for rule changes and I saw nothing for Bradley Lake, only the juvenile season added this past April. I usually walk around the lake every couple of days, since I cannot fish at this time. I have to say that I feel sick before I can walk even half way around the lake, while seeing all of the rule violators catch and keep fish illegally, and so few juveniles fishing. PLEASE read the regulations before fishing. PS. I will definatley be fishing on June 4th.

I live next door to the lake. I agree...there is an algae there that may be toxic. This might be due to the unusually high numbers of geese using the pond. They suck! Since the city has been developing the park, making baseball fields that nobody has used, yet has cost us thousands of $$...Bradley lake has attracted more and more people. In a nutshell, it's overused, overfished. The population is ruining the shoreline, developing trails where once there were none, and really running it down. On a weekend, expect thousands of people there. No parking, despite the fact that they just added a new 100+ stall parking lot across the street! I'm amazed that the city isn't charging people who don't live in Puyallup for day use! As a matter-of-fact, I'm thinking of going there this morning to practice fly fishing (it's a 5 minute walk down the street) ...I'll let you know how I do.
