Made another trip to the lake and rented a boat with a motor and we spent all day on the lake. Caught one perch and three trout. I lost about a 4 pound bass on the far side of the lake but the best part of the day was when we took the boat back. My son wanted to play at the playground so my wife took him up there and I begged her to let me try the dock for a couple of casts and guess what... a 2.5 pound and about 1.5 pound bass right from the dock. Made people on the dock a little mad but it was great for me. That is why Ii gave it a five. Oh yeah, I was using a plastic twin tail tube with a green skirt.

Don't blame the folks on the dock for being mad at you. Both fish you kept were obviously between 12 and 17 inches and therefore illegal.

One was right at 12 inches and the other one was 18 so therefore they were not illegal.

hummm, OK. But, I have yet to accurately weigh a 12 incher at 1.5 lbs and I have yet to measure a 2.5 pounder at 18 inches. No matter the size, at this time of year is a good time to practice a little catch and release. However, That being said, I have absolutely no problem with anglers keeping a few legal bass now and them to eat. Good luck. and tight lines.
