Went to Banks Lk. for Memorial Day weekend and had an amazing time. The fishing and the partying meshed together like mashed potatoes and gravy....umm. Anyway, we caught a walleye, a few perch, a couple crappy, a bunch of smallies and I stumbled upon a monster 8 lb largie. Most fish were caught on perch rapalas, all were caught on crankbaits. I even had a bass demolish a buzzbait in the shallows, and Drewp did some fly fishin' for carp because they were surfacing everywhere you looked. All in all it was an outstanding weekend that went by WAY!!!! too fast. It felt like a lunch break from work. I guess the old saying, "time flies when you're havin' fun," couldn't be more right.

P.S. that largie was 5 1/2 lbs....gotcha didn't I.

Scale said 5 1/2 and I'm just messin' around anyway. She caught that walley on the same perch rapala that I caught the largie on, and that same perch rapala caught a few perch, 2 crappy, and about 10 smallies. You should def. check out this fishery, we had an amazing time even though there was a tournamnet boat around every turn. Peace!

Boy this comment thread has sure gotten ugly fast. You all need to go to your corners and chill. Please treat each with respect or at least refrain from posting. I'm deleting the more unfriendly posts. Here's a simple guide: when you type something and the intent belittles or calls the other person a name that is an inappropriate post.

Calling someone out on the size of their fish is "belittling" Dez. All you needed to do was not say anything of that nature, and don't play like you're innocent. I'm over it..........

Edgeran and Bigbass Dez, if you look at the first three posts it was all good. I deleted some comments from a third poster that were not helpful and only fed some flames. Judging from each your first posts you could probaly share a boat a have a good day of it. Edgeran - you did ask for people's opinion and wondered if your scale was defectve. Let's put this one to bed, which is where I'm going.
