Fished from 5-6pm off the dock at the Alder state park ($5 entry fee) and didn't get a bite. I spoke to some of the people there before I retrieved my family and they reported the same level of success. I suppose I should have taken their lack of success as an omen, but we paid $5 to get there, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to drop a line or two. We scoped out the area next to the dam, just beyond boom, but there were a few folks there and we decided not to tromp through the underbrush to get there. The jet skis were out in force. The weather was windy, cloudy and there was a bite in the air.
