Tried shady for the first time today. There is very limited bank access, you have to fish from the boat launch. I wanted to bring the boat but, decided against it because the weather wasn't looking too great. I heard the lake gets to 42' deep and it holds brown and cutthroat along with rainbow and warm water species. The trick was casting out as far as you could and using 2 power eggs. I tried different power bait for no fish. Between me and my buddy we caught 4 rainbows. 2 of them were caught on 2 yellow power eggs and 2 were caught on a green and orange power egg combo. A man next to us caught 4 on the orange/green power egg combo. Looks like a pretty productive lake

I fished the opener last weekend, and fishing was great! This lake opens on June 1st and they have a derby at midnight until 10AM. I took my dad and my son plus a friend. We had 6 fish in 1.5 hrs. Went the next day and did the same in the same amound of time. Trolled, bobbers and a worm, power bait w/4ft of leader. They'll eat anything on this lake. I talked to one of the home owners, he said the home owner's association stocks it and the WDWL does as well. People, if you fish from the boat launch at any lake, please try not to have an attitude when someone is lauching their boat! That's what it's there for!
