New rule now in place at Rattlesnake!

I just came from the Lake:spent about 2 hours cleaning up the mess that the "weekend sportsmen" left from a weekend of fishing in the great outdoors:2 empty party packs(bottles)couldn't find the bottles-guess where they are?,picked up at least 15 beer cans, and 2 bags of trash left on the shore.

I almost forgot , the best thing the sportsmen left: how about 8 Rainbow trout thrown in the bushes uncleaned along w/ 2 power bait containers!
That's it, I called 4 buddies who fish the lake at least 4 times a week and we now have put a new rule in place: if anyone is caught POACHING using bait on Rattlesnake lake, the "fisherman " will be walking home! This rule is now in place!

*Editor's Note: call non-emergency police as well. You may get lucky and find them not busy and able to come issue a citation.

hella gangfights. Pull out ur switch blades and baseball bats and have a big showdown on the giant rock. Last man standing claims the lake as his area!

Yea, I hate that too. my buddy and I always clean up after ourselves and others. We started collecting the cans and bottles to recycle them and pay for our fishing trips. He has a way of letting people know to clean up their mess if he sees anyone trying to leave without cleaning up their mess. I'm no tree hugger by any stretch of the imagination but , if we don't take care of our rivers and lakes then we'll be fishin' out of polluted lakes, polluted lakes means polluted fish, and polluted fish means no fish.....eventually!

I have had it with the bait fisherman also. there doesn't seem to be a day that goes by that you won't find them on either side of the lake.. I'd like to see us take pictures of these guys and post them on an internet site for everyone to see. I called numerous times last year to WDFW and once they had an agent come out. They are just stretched so thin. Most local police don't know enough about the fish laws to feel confident in dealing with these people. Check the WDFW site for classes on how to deal with poachers in a non confrontational way. Good luck
