Went out to Green lake, King County, for some afternoon fishing. I love fishing this lake...... it holds some real surprises.
(although no surprises were bestowed upon me today)
I did have a great time landing 5 rainbow, not all that big, but fiesty for planters, about 10 inches. At least one of these performed some aerial maneuvers. I also lost probably 3 before getting them in the float tube. It was slightly windy and overcast. Must remember to bring an anchor when in float tube and wind. I was at first fishing for bass with some pink soft plastic grubs. This produced the first rainbow. I never did hook any bass. I finally went to the old standby of trolling a nightcrawler about 4 ft. below a bobber. It seemed like non stop action.

Must say though, those $%^# guys in the kayak/skulling type things have the ENTIRE lake to tread upon. I even gave a guy the "Heads up hello" And this guy whips by me literally about 2 ft. from my tube. I walk away later pissed at myself for not screaming at him. My recommendation if you go......... bring a handful of heavy sinkers, within quick reach.
