We got out on the water at about 5pm. We went straight across the lake from the boat launch and tried the small cove/brushy area there first. Tossed just about everything we had, senkos, worms, light and dark spinner baits, spoons, even some top waters. We got nothing, not even a bite.
We moved farther north into the northwest corner of the lake. The area looked great for bass. Tried many different lures and once again, nothing.
Finally just before we were about to leave I hooked a decent sized LMB on a black/chartreuse 1/4 oz spinner with a black/chartreuse worm trailer. He managed to spit the lure before I could land him, but at least something finally bit.
Overall I had fun just because I was on the lake fishing with my Dad, however I wasn't very impressed with the bass fishing on Spanaway Lake today.
