Once again had too fish the incoming cold front, Sat. 6-9p.m. Found the fish, saw at least 20 from 3 to 8+#. Threw the kitchen sink and nodda. After an hour and a half I decided too take out my frustrations and angle for this bullfrog using a watermellon Kenami grub. Vigorously casting and retrieving to reach the hummer the water exploded through the millfoil. So I decided to stay with a fast retrieve on top of the foliage using small plastics. After losing the first four I switched out to a larger off set and landed this one. This is a very challenging lake due to the cold and gin clear water but the ambushes through the pads and weeds are Awesome. The next day everything was dead except the little red eyes. Can't wait till it gets hot. BTW I never Dr.Cook westside warmwater fish all C&R.
