Congrats. Beauty of a largie. My partner caught a nice smallie on a musky crank today. They certainly will hit big baits.

I've only seen 1 other largemouth at Tapps (besides the one old lady that yelled at me). My wife caught it 3 years ago, and it appears it was from in front of the same house in your picture. Nice fish!! Nice topwater too!!

Hey red what year was that fish from? I noticed the water level was pretty high and took a picture of the house last night (for comparison)....they have since painted the patio railing....

Hey Ken, we got it last July. I just found this site a bit ago and thought you guys would like to check out that fish. It was the biggest bass I had ever seen come out if Tapps and wanted to share it.

Sure is a sweet one!!! I appreciate the pic. Have you had any other large mouth besides that one and did they come from anywhere other than that canal? I've heard guys say they catch them in the shallows next to the Snag Island fill (road/bridge) but always have caught smallies there. And yes that was the exact place my wife caught the only large mouth that I've seen besides yours. Great job, I'm jealous!

Lots of nice big smallies but that has been the only largemouth I've seen. Could be the same fish as your wife's. He might still be there and a couple pounds bigger.
