Arrived at lake just before 0700. I was the first one there. Sky was partly cloudy and there was a little ripple on the surface in the center. Edges of lake look flat. Launched boat and headed to the SE branch. I fished the docks and along the shore line using a rapala, jig, and spinner. Though I saw a great number of spawning beds I did not see a fish. By 0730 the wind had come up and controlling the boat became difficult. I worked at it for another 90 minutes moving all around the lake. I continued to see evidence of a great number of spawning beds but I never saw or hooked a fish. By 0930 I was ready to leave as the wind had not been my friend.

I have fished this lake many times with success. Just was not my day or time. Maybe I should have gotten there before daylight.
